Raleigh, NC – The William Peace University women’s soccer team is set to kick off another season of soccer action, having been ranked in the top 5 in preseason for the second consecutive year. The Pacers, who ended with vim, vigor, and vitality last season, have the passion of showing the nation that they are a force to reckon with.
A Legacy of Success
This year, it is worth recognizing that the team’s success is not only due to their efforts but also because they are well-coached. Emma Avery, the senior midfielder, also agreed that the ranking was correct but complained that she would have preferred the 4th position, meaning she also thinks that it is correct because we got that far last year, stating that there is probably more to it than that; “they probably base that off stats too, so it was probably pretty accurate.”
New Season, New Goals
Despite the fact that this positions the team at the preseason rank, the Pacers are not overconfident. In their vision, they look forward to performing even better than before with an aim to go up the ladder of ranking. Sophomore Mia Rumachik said that she believed that its current standing is good enough, thanks to the returnees and the addition of a talented freshman class, and could climb even higher in the course of the season if the strengths are harnessed.
Correctly, the team consists of both experienced players with many years of sports training and newcomers who are ready to conquer sports victories.
Experience-wise, the team boasts of both senior and youthful players, thereby giving the team a strong foundation. Returning players have lots of experience and most of the time have leadership qualities, while the freshmen bring in lots of energy. Such a formation indicates an interesting and highly competitive season is in the offing.
Driven by Determination
The Pacers clearly want to make a point. The senior defender Emma Mayer said when asked about the ranking team that should be ranked fourth, “We have the potentiality to prove to everyone this year that we are better than the fifth team.”
A Season of Opportunity
With the start of the preseason nearer and nearer, the women’s soccer team of William Peace University is ready for action. Their self-belief, talent, and desire make them prepared to face each and every adversity that they are set to encounter on their way. The future belongs to the 2024-2025 season, where lots of work is awaiting this team and their fans.
